NFT Generation Guide

Welcome to the professional guide for the **NFT Art & Metadata Generator**. This tool is designed to help you transform individual trait layers into a cohesive, mathematically unique NFT collection ready for deployment on any major blockchain.

💡
What is Generative Art?

Generative art combines pre-designed asset "layers" (like backgrounds, bodies, and hats) using an algorithm to create unique combinations based on rarity weights.

The 3-Step Workflow

Establishing a professional collection follows a structured pipeline within the studio:

Phase 1

Collection Identity

Define your name, description, and target blockchain (EVM, Solana, etc.). This sets the metadata schema.

Phase 2

The Layer Studio

Upload your PNG assets into categories. Assign rarity weights to control how often specific traits appear.

Phase 3

Engine Execution

Run the generation engine. Preview results in real-time and export your assets directly to your local drive.

1. Project Configuration

Before uploading art, you must configure the "General Settings". These fields populate the JSON metadata required by marketplaces like OpenSea or Magic Eden.

  • Collection Name: The base name for your NFTs (e.g., "Space Voyagers").
  • IPFS CID: The root folder where your images will be hosted.
  • Blockchain Network: Critical setting that changes the JSON structure. For example, "Tezos" uses TZIP-21 while "Ethereum" uses the standard Opensea schema.

2. Trait Layer Studio

The Studio is where your art comes to life. Traits are organized by **Categories** (Trait Types).

How to Organize Layers:

Layers are stacked from back to front. The first category you create will be the furthest back (usually Backgrounds), and subsequent categories will sit on top.

Category: Background (Stack level 1) Category: Base Character (Stack level 2) Category: Clothing (Stack level 3) Category: Eyewear (Stack level 4) Category: Headwear (Stack level 5) Category: Accessories (Stack level 6)

Ensure all your PNG files share the same dimensions (e.g., 1000x1000px) to maintain perfect alignment during the generation process.

3. Mastering Rarity

Each variant in a category has a **Rarity Weight**. This is a relative value (default is 1-100) that determines its probability of appearing.

  • Weight 1: Extremely Rare (Legendary)
  • Weight 50: Common
  • Weight 100: Very Common

The engine uses a "Weighted Random Selection" algorithm. It sums the weights in a category and picks a variant based on its percentage of that total sum.

4. Metadata Factory

Once generated, each NFT is accompanied by a `.json` file. This file "proves" the traits of the NFT. Our factory automatically bridges standard EVM traits into specialized chain formats:

{ "name": "collection name#1", "description": "collection description", "image": "ipfs://REPLACE_WITH_ACTUAL_IPFS_CID/1.png", "edition": 1, "attributes": [ { "trait_type": "Backgrounds", "value": "ASTRAL" }, { "trait_type": "BASE CHARACTER", "value": "APE" }, { "trait_type": "CLOTHING", "value": "HOODIE" }, { "trait_type": "EYEwear", "value": "ROUND GLASS" }, { "trait_type": "Headwear", "value": "BUCKET HAT" }, { "trait_type": "Accessories", "value": "NECKLACE" } ] }

Advanced users can use the **Metadata Viewer** tool to preview exactly how their JSON looks for specific editions before running the full batch.

5. Exporting for Minting

The final phase involves the **Generation Engine**. You can retrieve your files directly to your local drive:

  1. Direct Folder Save: (Recommended) Select a folder on your computer. The engine will save images and JSONs directly to that folder as they are generated.
